The German-Italian photography project "VIA! – street photography from Hamburg to Palermo” involves ten photographers (five from each country) that document daily life in their area for the period of one year and showcase their work on the blog http://blog.goethe.de/via/ and later on in a series of exhibitons. Besides "TSC"-member Fabian Schreyer, who is also the art director of the project, "VIA!" involves Siegfried Hansen, Umberto Verdoliva, Stefano Mirabella, Mary Cimetta, Giorgio Scalicic, Michele Liberti, Marga van den Maydenberg, Guido Steenkamp and Michael "Monty" May.
We are happy to finally welcome a new member to our collective! Vineet Vohra is coming from Delhi/India and shooting the streets since 2001. He is the co-founder of APF magazine (artphotofeature.com), Fuji "X" photographer and doing workshops globally. Check out more info and his portfolio.
Thanks to all photographers, who applied in the last few months! We really appreciate many of the portfolios that we received.
Last weekend our member Mats Alfredsson arranged a Photowalk in Berlin. 37 passionate street photographers met in Germany's capital for three days of shooting and discussions about street photography.
The Street Collective is looking for a new member!
If you are interested, please apply via our contact form http://www.thestreetcollective.com/contact/. Be sure to send a short (artistic) bio, a link to your street photography portfolio, some words on your motivation to join and your contact details.
As soon as we have made a decision, we’ll introduce the new member on our website and our facebook channel.
Our member Fabian Schreyer will showcase a series entitled "Die italienische Angelegenheit" (engl.: The Italian Affair) from October 28th to November 29th in a solo exhibition in Augsburg/Germany. The body of work contains recent colour and b&w street photography from the Italian metropolises Milan and Rome.
From today on we start a new public project: "Shadows"
That can be human shadows on a wall or on the ground or whatever. It's about street photography, so let there be human beings in your picture. Your photos can be black and white or color.
We changed the approach a little bit: During the period of the project The Street Collective will review the uploaded photos on a regular basis and choose nominees for the best “Shadow”-photo. These nominees will be uploaded on our main website.
At the end of the project The Street Collective will chose one winning photo. The photographer of the winning photo will be rewarded with a PRICE! (to be revealed later).
End date of the “Shadow”-project: December 7, 2013
We invite you to join our Facebook group and upload only your best shadow-photos. You can also invite your street photography friends to join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TSC.Shadows/
We wish everyone success and we are looking forward to your photos!
